My name is Jeanette Philip and I am a registered breeder with The Cat Owner's Association of Western Australia.
I live on 2½ acres of wooded land in the picturesque coastal town of Albany with my husband Murray (pictured above right).
Murray is a builder and has built our lovely catteries (below) and turned our spare room into a nursery (above). Murray's latest project was an outside enclosure at the front of our home for our indoor cats and we have received so much wonderful feedback in relation to it, that we have a dedicated page on our site containing photos and information on this enclosure.

We breed Self Blue and Silver Tabby British Shorthairs. Our aim is to breed true to type and temperament. This year will see some new bloodlines from Europe and the UK expanding our gene pool. Our kittens are raised in the house with much love and attention. All our cats are tested for FeLV, FIV and PKD, and have all been blood-typed.
British Shorthairs evolved in the nineteenth century from breeding programs using the very best of British street cats. Large in size, the British Shorthair is a very rounded and teddy bear like cat. The head is round with full cheeks, small ears and large well spaced eyes. A cobby body with strong broad shoulders and short legs. Their coat is short, dense and plush and cracks as the cat moves.
British Shorthairs are friendly and easy going in temperament and tend to get on with most other cats as well as dogs. Some are true lap cats that love dozing on their owners lap. Playful as kittens but mature to good-natured, placid and quiet adults. They are a very easy and delightful cat to live with. Many people enquire as to whether the British Shorthair is a good breed for families with young children and we believe that the photos below answer the question... "Yes, definitely!" This was the first time this
kitten had met a small child and as you can see she was very relaxed :)
I am also the agent in Southern Western Australia for all your Oz-Pet litter needs - including litter and special sieve trays.
I hope you enjoy our website. Please sign our guestbook or feel free to contact me for information on my cats and kittens.
